SOAK and The Ocelots' performances for Van Morrison's 75th birthday celebration are going live tonight.
Following stunning performances on 'Rave On, Van Morrison' last night, we're bringing you another special evening of back-to-back Van covers – with SOAK performing 'Beside You', followed by The Ocelots performing 'Give Me A Kiss'.
Over the course of the YouTube event, celebrating Van Morrison's 75th birthday, you can expect even more renditions of his remarkable songs from some of the most iconic names in the country.
Initially rising to prominence as a teenager, with the release of the Choice Music Prize-winning album, Before We Forgot How To Dream in 2015, SOAK has forged a reputation as one of the most compelling talents in Ireland. The Derry singer-songwriter returned last year with the highly anticipated follow-up, Grim Town.
Wexford twins Brandon and Ashley launched their career as The Ocelots in 2016 – crafting their sound as they busked across Europe. Following extensive touring and high-profile support slots for the likes of Jack Johnson and Glen Hansard, they released their long-awaited debut album, Started To Wonder, earlier this year.
SOAK's performance of 'Beside You' (7pm Irish Standard Time) and The Ocelots' performance of 'Give Me A Kiss' (8pm) premiere tonight, September 2, on the Hot Press YouTube channel.
