The Derry singer-songwriter will be joined by Dublin-based indie/punk band Pillow Queens for an intimate show in St Luke's on May 28.
After a string of dates in the UK and Europe, Soak will play Live at St Luke's in Cork next month, with special guests Pillow Queens.
One of the Mercury Prize's youngest ever nominees, the Derry singer-songwriter won widespread critical acclaim for her debut album, Before We Forgot How to Dream, in 2015. She's now set to return to the limelight with her highly anticipated follow-up, Grim Town, which will be released on Rough Trade Records on April 26. Keep an eye out for our review of the album in the upcoming issue of Hot Press, out on Thursday. Soak will perform the new songs in the stunning setting of Live at St. Luke’s on May 28.
Support on the night will come from Dublin-based group Pillow Queens. While taking influence from artists from contemporary US DIY indie and punk scenes, the group stay true to their Irish heritage, using Dublin colloquialisms in their lyrics. Expect loud, smart lo-fi tunes.
Pillow Queens are also set to support Soak at a string of gigs in the UK, as well as gigs in Dolan's in Limerick, the Button Factory in Dublin, and The Glassworks in Derry.
