Social media has been ablaze over the last days with a mystery. The source of this mystery came from an interview with GQ when The Girl’s Trip star, Tiffany Haddish, alleged that an actress at a party had bit Beyoncé on the face. Internet sleuths have been investigating social media accounts of anyone who could feasibly have been at the party, and #whobitbeyonce has been trending on Twitter for several days.
The party in question was held in Los Angeles in December 2017 and was attended by Beyoncè and her husband Jay-Z.
Haddish said, “There was this actress there, that's just, like, doing the mostest.”
Haddish, who refused to name the actress in question, continued – “she bit Beyoncé in the face!”
She alleged that a friend of Beyoncé told her this first hand and Haddish herself approached Bey to confirm it.
Haddish continued, “Near the end of the party, Beyoncé's at the bar, so I said to Beyoncé, ‘Did she really bite you?’ She was like, ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘She gonna get her ass beat tonight.’ She was like, ‘Tiffany, no. Don't do that. That bitch is on drugs. She not even drunk. The bitch is on drugs. She not like that all the time. Just chill.’ ”
That, honestly, is all the first-hand information that we have. This hasn’t stopped the internet en masse from speculating who it might have been that bit one of the most influential women on the planet, right on the face.

A list of partygoers was compiled which included: Rihanna, James Franco, French Montana, Queen Latifah, G-Eazy, Sara Foster and Sanaa Lathan. Haddish’s assertion that the biter was an ‘actress’ rules out French Montana, James Franco and G-Eazy immediately. Jen Meyer is a jewellery designer and Rihanna and Queen Latifah wouldn’t be known as actresses first and foremost, which seems to rule them all out as well. The remaining ‘actresses’ and most likely suspects it seems, are 90210’s Sara Foster and Love & Basketball’s Sanaa Lathan.
The furore was such that both actresses were forced to publicly deny the claims.
Foster commented, “flattering that anyone thinks I could get this close to Beyoncé.”
Lathan followed suit, tweeting, “y’all are funny. Under no circumstances did I bite Beyoncé and if I did it would’ve been a love bite.”

Typically, despite not even actually being a confirmed partygoer, Girl’s creator Lena Dunham became bookies favourite to be the mystery biter, with Paddy Power offering odds of 2/1. The evidence for this seems to be nothing more than that it seemed like something Dunham would probably do. She has since denied the claims.
As the patron saint of “She would do that...”

The plot thickened when model Chrissy Teigan, wife to John Legend and friend of Beyoncé, tweeted that she knew who had bit Beyoncé – and she never would have suspected this person to be the culprit.
My initial guess was wrong. The real person? I *never* would have guessed. I’VE SAID TOO MUCH

The strongest hint so far has come from, you guessed it, TMZ who reported that Haddish had told several people that the actress in question was none other than Sanaa Lathan. In fact, it was alleged that Haddish had told this story in stand-up early this year, identifying the woman as someone who was dating French Montana. French Montana was rumoured to be dating Lathan for the latter part of 2017.

As far as confirmation goes, we shouldn't hold our breath. Beyoncé is famously private to a fault, rarely giving the public access to her private life. She refused to comment, even when millions of people had watched a video her sister Solange attack her husband in an elevator. For now, until the culprit comes forward, we’ll have to be content with an educated guess.
