Hot on the heels of a forthcoming Vicar Street gig, Soda Blonde have announced they will host an intimate Christmas party for friends and fans at Whelan’s on 22nd December.
Tickets start from €36.50 and are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
The news comes alongside the release of the band's latest single, 'The Saddest Thing', which you can listen to below.
Since forming in 2019, Soda Blonde - Faye O’Rourke (vocals), Adam O’Regan (guitar), Dylan Lynch (drums), and Donagh Seaver-O’Leary (bass) - have made a name for themselves in the Irish music scene, and further afield, with their self-produced sonic chops, introspective lyrics and captivating visuals.
Following the success of their debut album Small Talk in 2021, which received critical acclaim and was nominated for the Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year, the band has continued to evolve with their latest album Dream Big - also nominated for a Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year.

They’ve certainly kept the momentum going through 2024. January saw them embark on their first sold-out EU tour, while in March, they pulled out of SXSW along with several Irish artists, taking a stand against the festival’s association with the U.S. military. This decision catalysed the creation of the immediately striking music video for ‘Why Die For Danzig’, which pulls no punches commenting on society’s complicity in the war machine.
Perhaps the highlight of the year came in July when Soda Blonde performed a monumental sold-out show at Dublin’s National Concert Hall. In collaboration with the Irish National Symphony Orchestra, the band presented orchestral arrangements of Dream Big. A live album from the evening is coming soon, along with a concert film, for fans to relive the unforgettable experience.
As Soda Blonde prepares for their UK dates and return to Vicar St, the band is eager to connect with their audiences once again, promising power, emotion and unbridled excitement in spades.
