The Y&E Series, supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, continues tonight with a performance from Soda Blonde.
Following stellar sets last week on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' The Y&E Series, we're delighted to present Soda Blonde as our latest act – performing live on the Hot Press Instagram tonight, June 23, at 7.30pm.
Dublin-based alt-pop quartet Soda Blonde have built their formidable reputation on glittery guitars and irresistible hooks, coupled with down-to-earth songwriting from lead singer Faye O’Rourke. They are truly one of the best bands in Ireland.
Last month, they released their stunning four-track EP, Isolation Content.
Continuing tonight with Soda Blonde, The Y&E Series is shining a light on some of the best new and emerging talent that Ireland has to offer in 2020 – with 40 acts joining Hot Press on Instagram for special live performances across 40 consecutive days, thanks to the support of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.

Saturday, June 27: Doppler
The brainchild of Jamie Mulrooney, a former winner of the coveted Clancy Brothers Songwriter Competition, acclaimed collective Doppler returned after a hiatus with the irresistible new single 'A Memory' earlier this year.
Sunday, June 28: Anna Carmody
Born in Galway and raised in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Anna Carmody has already earned comparisons to the legendary likes of Amy Winehouse and Dolores O'Riordan, with her stunning, indie-folk-flavoured sound. Her highly anticipated debut EP is expected in early 2021.
