SomeRiseSomeFall have teamed up with Kevin Herron of the band Rowan on the second single from their upcoming album No Simple Highway. Proceeds from 'When the Thought of You Catches Up With Me' and the entire project will be donated to mental health charities.
Originally written by country star David Ball, the heartfelt track touches on themes of grief, loss and enduring love. Herron's singing is inspired by the late Jimmy LaFave and is accompanied by Dylan Howe on bass, Keelan Kenny on lap-steel and Fionn Hennessy-Hayes on drums.
SomeRiseSomeFall is part of a wider initiative set up by Fitzgerald Actuarial Limited, called Community Support Resources, to raise awareness and support organisations that work creatively with the vulnerable in our community.
No Simple Highway, out in October, is a collection of beautiful often neglected songs that map the human condition using talented songwriters to re-interpret and re-inspire these lost gems.
