As it stands, the tune is currently streaming higher than Central Cee's most recent release, making it the #1 streaming rap song in Britain.
Songer has made his UK singles chart debut with ‘Toxic (Freestlye)’, which has reached #46, making it the 2nd highest new track behind Central Cee’s ‘Entrapreneur’.
The song, which samples the ‘00s Britney Spears classic of the same name, has thus far earned over 2 million streams across various streaming platforms.
It first featured on the popular rap showcase BL@CKBOX, remaining one of the channel’s highest viewed videos.
‘Toxic (Freestlye)’ follows on from the successes of the Wokingham rapper’s fourth studio album SKALA, as well has latest collaboration ‘Vino Bandit’ alongside K-Motionz.
“Wrote these bars when i was 17 for my blackbox, and because of you guys they’re still giving me unbelievable memories,” said SONGER on the song via social media. “Thank you. feels good to be able to get this one out. thanks for the clearance Britney Spears.”

The Wokingham native had a successful 2023, almost doubling his listenership, which now stands at a 1.7m per month via Spotify.
He also perfomed in Dublin on multiple occasions last summer, with a show at the Button Factory and a slot at Longitude.
“People gravitate to me because they don’t listen to my music or look at me and think I’m somebody that they want to be - they look at me and think I’m somebody that they already are," Songer told Hot Press.
"I think there’s a connection of ‘Wow, this guy is like me’, which is important. It’s why I try to focus on telling the truth so much in my music, whether it’s good or bad. The reality is even if it doesn’t feel like it, everyone’s going through the same things.
