Sorcha Richardson has announced the release of her upcoming single ‘Map of Manhattan’, due next week.
The Irish singer teased the track with a short clip posted to her social media.
It was a fruitful summer for the indie-folk darling, who enjoyed multiple festival slots across Europe, including a memorable main-stage performance at All Together Now in Co. Waterford.
She also released an EP of The Killer’s covers titled Somebody Told Me in July.

The Dubliner spoke to Hot Press’ Kate Brayden last year to discuss her acclaimed sophomore album Smiling Like an Idiot.
“Sometimes I like to put things in a song that only the person who it’s about will understand, like little Easter eggs,” said Richardson on her songwriting process.
“But when you write about people in your life, there are real consequences for what you say. Some things aren’t for everybody’s ears. It’s a balancing act of protecting your personal relationships and respecting them, and also being able to write in a way that feels honest. Read the full interview here.
