The new distribution feature, built into SoundCloud Pro and Pro Unlimited accounts, is now available in open beta.
SoundCloud has announced the launch of a new distribution feature, allowing artists and creators to distribute their music directly from their SoundCloud accounts into all major music services, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Instagram, Tencent, YouTube Music and more.
The new distribution feature is included in existing SoundCloud Pro and Pro Unlimited accounts, at no extra cost. Those using SoundCloud Premier will also keep 100% of their distribution royalties from the third-party services.
In a press release, SoundCloud's Chief Executive Officer, Kerry Trainor, announced that, “Creators can now spend less time and money jumping between different tools, and more time making music, connecting with fans and growing their careers first on SoundCloud.”
To be eligible to use the open beta, creators must be a SoundCloud Pro or Pro Unlimited subscriber, own the rights to their original music, and have at least 1,000 plays in the past month in countries were SoundCloud listener subscriptions are available.
See creators.soundcloud.com/premier for more information.
