Little Steven will be in town next week for his Vicar Street show. And now he's treating fans to a special treat the night before.
Ahead of his highly anticipated Vicar Street show, Steven Van Zandt of The E Street Band & The Sopranos will broadcast a special live edition of his ‘Little Steven’s Underground Garage’ music programme from Tower Records, Dawson Street, next Thursday, 22nd August from 7-9pm. The internationally syndicated 'Undergound Garage' show has been broadcast weekly in Ireland on 103.2 Dublin City FM since 2008.
Little Steven will be in Ireland to perform at Vicar Street on Friday 23rd August with his Disciples of Soul band celebrating the release of their new album, Summer of Sorcery. "If you’re jonesing for a bit of a more carefree rockin’ soul E-Street vibe, played with a smile by one of the very best bands around, you need look no further," said Hot Press's Pat Carty of the album.
Back in 2013, Hot Press sat down with Little Steven himself where he talked about Underground Garage. “We have fun tracing the lineage from The Rascals and The Raiders through to current bands like King Khan & The Shrines, Radio Days and The Launderettes who draw from the same well,” he said.
