The Boss debuts at No. 1, whilst James Vincent McMorrow's second is just behind him.
Two massive new entries changing the look of the Irish Album Chart this week. Bruce Springsteen's new collection of a decade's worth of previously unreleased material, High Hopes, is at the summit, confirming the New Jersey icon's continuing mass appeal on the Emerald Isle.
In at a very impressive No. 2, we have a native son. James Vincent McMorrow's Post Tropical, the follow-up to his much-loved Early In The Morning debut, has been highly anticipated and it has done big business in its first week of release. McMorrow is set to appear onThe Late Late Show tonight, and gives Hot Press an in-depth interview for our first issue of 2014.
The newcomers mean Ellie Goulding's Halcyon/Halcyon Days, which had occupied pole position for quite a while and been a fixture in the charts for 38 weeks, is now at third. Beyonce's self-titled album also tumbles two spots, though Kodaline's Choice-nominated In A Perfect World holds firm at No. 5.
