Garage punk band Sprints have today announced a surprise album launch party at Whelan's Upstairs for the group's much hyped debut album Letter to Self. 

The album launch party is billed to take place at Whelan's Upstairs on Thursday, 11th January at 8:30pm

Letter to Self was released last week on January 5th after a January 4th a Bandcamp listening party took place online, which invited fans to a first listen to the debut, which included exclusive tracks, and a Q & A with the band.

A mere twenty minutes after the announcement of the Whelan's Upstairs gig, the show was sold out, with the band updating their instagram post to express their shock.

The update read: "UPDATE: This sold out in 20 mins. Jesus."

Having had a break out 2023, where the band played sets at all Together Now and support for Kneecap, Sprints have a big 2024 ahead; with tour dates lined up from January right up until May, taking place all over Ireland, the UK, the US and mainland Europe.
