Letter To Self is featured alongside projects from international stars like Billie Eilish and Beyoncé.
Dublin band SPRINTS have a major cause for celebration this morning, as their debut album, Letter To Self, scores a place on the prestigious TIME magazine's list of the 'Best Albums of 2024 So Far'.
Letter To Self is one of 10 albums on the list – with Billie Eilish's HIT ME HARD AND SOFT and Beyoncé's COWBOY CARTER also featuring.
Among the other notable inclusions are English Teacher's This Could Be Texas, Shellac's To All Trains, Tierra Whack's WORLD WIDE WHACK, WILLOW'S empathogen, Jane Weaver's Love in Constant Spectacle, Kali Uchis's Orquidéas, and Mdou Moctar's Funeral for Justice.
In the feature, TIME praise SPRINTS' "ferocious, cathartic anthems designed to lift up those who might feel ground down by the world's churn."
At the time of its release via City Slang in January, Letter To Self scored a nine-star review in Hot Press, with Stuart Clark stating that the album "ranks alongside The Undertones, U2's Boy and Sinéad O'Connor's The Lion And The Cobra as one of the all-time great Irish debuts."
Last month, SPRINTS announced that, after "five incredible years together," their guitarist Colm O'Reilly had left the band. They'll be joined by guest guitarists for their upcoming live dates – including sets at Glastonbury and All Together Now, as part of their busy run of festival appearances.
