The band has shared their new single 'Feast' ahead of their world tour
SPRINTS have released their first single with their new guitarist Zac Stephenson after the amicable departure of Colm O'Reilly who was a founding member of the band.
Produced by Dan Fox, 'Feast' is inspired by gothic fiction and poetry, using a beating riff and accompanying drums that are complimented by Chub's bold, edgy vocals.
The music video for the track features a juxtaposition of queer expression and religious imagery.
Speaking on 'Feast', the band says that it, "explores the idea of gluttony, consumption and desire, particularly when it comes to sexuality and romance."
The band also explains that the release is also inspired by the connection between Catholicism and the Irish state, "The Bible stories and fables of good, bad, morality and sin were always pressed upon us. I thought it was interesting to use this iconography and imagery reimagined in a queer context."
