A few years ago, Soma made a decision to push in an electronic direction. This move has paid dividends, with Alex Smoke and the offshoot label Pnuma delivering time and time again. So how do Repeat Repeat fit into Soma’s new worldview? The UK trio have a deft, adventurous touch - check the ebbing and flowing bass on ‘Flip Flop’, but apart from the intricate, off beat ‘Why Must’ – which has echoes of Alex Smoke – and the brooding finale, ‘Home, Stop, Welcome’, ‘Squints’ may struggle to appeal to a home listening or dance floor audience
