All Born Screaming marks St. Vincent’s (born Annie Clark) first self-produced and seventh studio-album overall. The project is said to have been brought to life with the aid of an A-list roster of collaborators, which includes the likes of Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl, Mark Guiliana, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa and David Ralicke.

The LP was produced and recorded at her own Compound Fracture studio in LA, Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio in Chicago, and New York’s Electric Lady Studios.
“I needed to go deeper in finding my own sonic vocabulary,” said Clark on the experience. “I like to think of [the record] as post-plague pop, it’s a lot about heaven and hell — the metaphorical kinds. Which is appropriate, because sitting alone in a studio for that many hours I would say is a version of hell.”
All Born Screaming will be released this Friday, 26 April via Total Pleasure Records and is available for preorder here.
