Staring Into Space
Silicone Soul became synonymous with undemanding, mainstream house music through their success with 'Right On, Right On', but, as their second album demonstrates, there's far more to the Glasgow duo's work than providing the soundtrack to football programmes.
Silicone Soul became synonymous with undemanding, mainstream house music through their success with 'Right On, Right On', but, as their second album demonstrates, there's far more to the Glasgow duo's work than providing the soundtrack to football programmes. Tracks like 'When The Devil Arrives' and 'Folie A Deux' fuse lush deep house textures with pulsing, electronic rhythms, 'Under A Werewolf Moon' sounds like an update of incidental music for 'Shaft' and 'The Poisoner's Diary' ends the album with grungy, acid flecked tech-house and Gothic vocals.
