Indie pop band Stars will play Dublin’s The Workman’s Club on 27 September as part of their Set Yourself on Fire 15th Anniversary Tour. The band will also play Galway’s Roisin Dubh on 28 September.
The Canadian band has released eight studio albums – from debut record Nightsongs in 2001 to 2017’s There Is No Love in Fluorescent Light, Stars have scarcely gone more than three years without releasing all-new music. 2003 saw a romantic turn in their discography with Heart, whilst 2008’s In Our Bedroom After the War brought the band a Polaris Prize nomination before the sombre note of 2010’s The Five Ghosts. The North saw the band return to the light in 2012, whilst 2014’s electric-inspired No One Is Lost dealt with the hardships of life and loss.
The Set Yourself on Fire 15th Anniversary Tour will take the band around Europe. Tour dates are below. Tickets go on sale from €17.50 including booking fees tomorrow at 10 am.
