A huge number of leading Irish musicians have confirmed their support for the special PledgeMusic campaign for the Philip Lynott: Still In Love With You project.
Among the many musicians who have already made a pledge for The Philip Lynott Pledge initiative are Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol, Adam Clayton, Joe Elliot of Def Leppard, Nick Seymour, Glen Hansard, Mikey Graham, R.S.A.G., David Geraghty of Bell X1, Delorentos, Steve Wall, Brendan Graham, Christy Moore – and many more. Members of Thin Lizzy, and their sister outfit, Black Star Riders, have also been hugely supportive of this PledgeMusic initiative.
“Philip was one of the true greats of our tribe,” Glen Hansard told Hot Press, articulating what so many people feel about the Thin Lizzy frontman. “It is an honour to contribute.”
Developed by Hot Press in conjunction with Philomena Lynott and the Roisin Dubh Trust, the initiative is nearing its 100% target so to make a pledge before the deadline passes – and play your part in making this remarkable piece of rock history happen – go to [link]www.pledgemusic.com/philiplynott[/link]
A percentage of the proceeds will go to the Roisin Dubh Trust, set up to keep the legend of Philip Lynott alive.
The Philip Lynott Exhibition, which ran in Dublin and London a few years ago, was a powerful, emotional statement about Philo and his music – but also about the trials and triumphs of a working musician – who ultimately became a huge global star. Hot Press is now turning Phil's story into a once-in-lifetime book – and fans who pledge for the De Luxe Large Format book can have their names immortalised as part of the Executive Production team. The campaign also includes extraordinary, unrepeatable offers on subscriptions to the tablet edition of Hot Press.
Items available to music fans include the unique Philo t-shirt, a limited edition poster and other unique pieces... but the centrepiece of it all is the book, "Philip Lynott: Still In Love With You – The Life and Music of Ireland’s Legendary Rock Icon", which we aim to make the best book ever about a rockstar!
