In addition to being longstanding members of Steely Dan, they have collaborated, recorded and performed with a role call of some of the best modern music makers.
Steely Dan veterans Jim Beard (piano) and Jon Herington (guitar) will set foot in Ireland this March for a series of shows, including an 11th March date in Whelan's.
Beard and Herington have shared the tour bandstand with Steely Dan for the past several years. Herington has been affiliated with the "Gaucho" band for twenty years, and Beard for eleven. Beard and Herington go way back – as far as college, as a matter of fact. They've been included in many projects over the years, including jazz group Chroma.
On this Irish tour, Beard and Herington will be paying homage to their jazz routes, with an eclectic evening of instrumental music played on guitar and piano.
