Cork native Stephanie Rainey is set to play the Cork Opera House on Friday, 3 May. The show will mark Rainey’s biggest headline gig yet.
After working to make a name for herself in the music scene for ten years, alternative singer Rainey found her way into the spotlight in 2015 when her single ‘Please Don’t Go’ went viral. The song has since racked up over four million streams on Spotify. Rainey’s newer music, including 2016’s ‘100 Like Me’ and last year’s ‘Question Mark,’ has likewise seen success, garnering the singer hundreds of thousands of streams and YouTube views.
Recently, Rainey has performed to sold-out crowds at Cork’s Cyprus Avenue and The Castle in Glanmire. At the Cork Opera House, she’ll be supported by Dublin singer-songwriter Tim Chadwick.
“The first gig I ever saw was in The Opera House - so to announce my own gig here is a dream come true,” Rainey said of the gig.
