Stephen Wilson Jr. has announced a show at Dublin’s The Academy, on Monday, June 23.
The Indiana-born singer-songwriter has been in the music industry since 2016, when he left his nine-to-five job as a research and development (R&D) scientist and signed a publishing deal with BMG Nashville. Shortly afterwards his songs were being recorded by Caitlyn Smith, Tim McGraw, or Sixpence None the Richer, among others.
2023 was the year of his breakthrough. He signed with Big Loud Records and released his debut double album søn of a dad. The album, with 22 tracks that explore an amalgam of genres, is dedicated to his late father and was published on the five-year anniversary of his death.
