Stereolab have announced their first new album in 15 years. Instant Holograms On Metal Film will be released on May 23, 2025, via the band’s own Duophonic UHF Disks, in collaboration with Warp Records.
Alongside the announcement, the band have shared the album’s first single, 'Aerial Troubles', which arrives with a music video directed by Laurent Askienazy.
The new album features thirteen tracks written by Laetitia Sadier and Tim Gane, and performed by the band’s current touring line-up: Laetitia Sadier, Tim Gane, Andy Ramsay, Joe Watson, and Xavi Muñoz.
Guest appearances on the album include Cooper Crain and Rob Frye (Bitchin Bajas), Ben LaMar Gay (International Anthem), Ric Elsworth, Holger Zapf (Cavern Of Anti-Matter), Marie Merlet, and Molly Hansen Read.
Instant Holograms On Metal Film will be available on double vinyl LP, in both standard and coloured variants, as well as on CD and digital platforms.
