Singer, musician, composer and producer Stevie Wonder has announced “The Stevie Wonder Song Party: A Celebration of Life, Love & Music” in concert at 3Arena on 9 July 2019. Tickets go on sale Friday 12 April at 9 am from €99.50 including booking and facility fees.
One of the most celebrated and prominent figures in popular music, Stevie Wonder was just 12 years old when he became the youngest recording artist to earn a #1 single with 'Fingertips, Part 2' in 1963.
A prolific recording artist, Wonder has amassed 49 Top 40 singles, 32 #1 singles and worldwide sales of over 100 million units to date in addition to 25 Grammy Awards, the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award.
Wonder has also made a name for himself as an activist by spearheading the declaration of Martin Luther King Day as a national holiday in the USA and working to end apartheid in South Africa, among other feats. He was named a Commander of France's National Order of Arts and Letters in 1981, participated in the 'We are the World' fundraiser in 1985 and became the youngest recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors in 1999.
In 2014, Wonder received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from then-President Barack Obama. He is a designated U.N. Messenger of Peace with a special focus on persons with disabilities.

Wonder was awarded the Library of Congress' Gershwin Prize for Popular Song and performed his commission 'Sketches Of A Life.' Only the likes of Aaron Copeland, Leonard Bernstein and Paquito D'Rivera have been commissioned by the library.
