Metallica is bringing an unsurprisingly stacked slate of special guests with them to Slane Castle.
Irish punk rock bands Stiff Little Fingers and Fangclub will be among the supporting acts for Metallica's upcoming show at Slane Castle on June 8.
In addition to Stiff Little Fingers and Fangclub, Metallica is also bringing along Ghost and Bokassa. Metallica's show is a momentous occasion – the iconic heavy metal band hasn't played in Ireland for over a decade, but is finally returning for the European leg of their Worldwired tour.

"Metallica are great fans of Thin Lizzy who headlined the first Slane,” Lord Henry Mount Charles said when he announced the show last autumn. “I said to myself how the hell do we follow Guns N Roses, and Metallica were a very obvious choice.
"I wanted to show Slane’s rock’n'roll roots are alive and well for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes you get to a juncture where the lyrics of a song like 'Nothing Else Matters' really resonates."
