In the latest episode of Hot Press Classics, Paul Nolan and Killian Murphy revisit Suede’s 1994 Britpop classic Dog Man Star.
Throughout the episode, they explore Suede’s place within the Britpop scene, their early endorsement by the UK music press and Brett Anderson and Justine Frischmann's meeting.
Elsewhere, Nolan and Murphy discuss the influence of Martin Amis’ 1989 book London Fields on Suede, the band’s capacity to create poetry out of the mundane, and the relationship between the group’s members.
