With the combination of the Live Performance Support Scheme and the success of the Government's test gigs at the Iveagh Gardens and the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, we are on the verge of a huge explosion of music activity. As part of our Summer of Music 2021 special feature, we spoke to some of the artists preparing to return to the stage...
“I’ve missed performing in front of people so much. I feel like my tour will improve so many people’s quality of life. That’s what I’m going for. The big challenge will be deciding what songs to do, because I’ve released so much music since the last live gig – and I can’t fit it all into a 60-minute set! I think the live shows post-Covid will be different. I hope they have the same energy because I need the mosh pits to happen when I drop ‘On the Estate’! I’m definitely very excited to paint a few cities yellow – and I’m looking forward to seeing my supporters in real life, and to reward them for their patience by giving them the best performance I can.”
