Nealo at The Workman’s Club
Where: The Workman’s Club, 10 Wellington Quay, Temple Bar, Dublin
When: August 13 & 14
Who: Dublin hip-hop star Nealo
What: Influenced by Chicago’s jazz-influenced rap scene, Irish artist Nealo fused that genre with R&B and soul to deliver a powerful album, tackling universal themes for young people in Ireland: emigration, substance abuse and the loss of loved ones. All The Leaves Are Falling earned him a Choice Music Prize nomination in 2020 for Irish Album of the Year, and a spot on Hot Press’ Hot for 2021 list. As well as heading to the Button Factory in October, Nealo had scheduled play a number of special, intimate gigs at Dublin’s Workman’s Club in August.
Make sure to: Listen to Nealo’s new single ‘Without You’ with Carrie Baxter.
