Charges might be pressed against the performer.
A dancer from the 400-member cast of Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl half-time show was detained after waving the Sudan and Palestine flags during the performance.
NFL confirmed the person was "part of the 400-member field cast," and said that "the individual hid the item on his possession and unveiled it late in the show. No one involved with the production was aware of the individual’s intent."
In an Instagram video of the performance posted by NBC News correspondent Jesse Kirsch, the person can be seen holding a combination of the two flags, with the words 'Gaza' and 'Sudan' written on them, on top of a 1987 Buick Grand National GNX car, one of the show's props. This happened towards the end of the performance, when 'tv off' was playing.

In the video, the individual holds up the flags for roughly twenty seconds before jumping off the stage and running around the field with the flag for another twenty seconds. They were then apprehended by security.
The person will be "banned for life from all NFL stadiums and events," said NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy in an emailed statement. The New Orleans Police Department has stated that “law enforcement is working to determine applicable charges in this incident.”
The incident was not shown by the show's official broadcast.
