Beastie Boys: “Sure Shot” (Capitol Records)

When you’re hooked you’re hooked. There ain’t no escape. According to our bestial brethren. From what? Christmas? It must be the presence of the flute but, in spite of the industrious rapping, I just can’t get Jethro Dull out of my head. Furthermore, compared to their black American counterparts ‘Sure Shot’ is just ineffectual drivel. Nothing here to get addicted to. A big disappointment. By the way if you must have an X-mas, have a black one! Cheers!
