The singer will be playing in Whelan’s on October 17
Renowned Clare songwriter Susan O’Neill has announced a headline gig at Whelan’s on October 17, as well as a number of Irish dates for the autumn, including Killarney's INEC Arena on October 27.
The announcement follows the release of her latest single ‘Drive’, which was engineered and produced by Christian Best in Cork, and written with bandmate brothers Cillian and Lorcan Byrne, features mixing from Grammy-winning Irish producer Cian Riordan, who has previously worked with the likes of St. Vincent, Lana Del Rey and Sleater Kinney.

“It fell out of my mouth and onto the page in one brief sitting,” said O’Neill about the track. “I’m trying to be more honest with myself. If I can know my own chaos, chill with it, wear it like a parade of paradoxes, this would be me trying that on.”

O’Neill is also set to hit a number of summer festival stages, including the Haldern Pop Festival in Germany, as well as the Swiss event Zermatt Unplugged with the Stargaze Orchestra. She will also be playing the Live at the Marquee series in Cork with Flannery on June 21.
Her next solo album Now In a Minute is set for release in 2024.
