Anna Leone has shared a beautiful live version of her latest single, ‘Still I Wait’.
Swedish self-produced artist Anna Leone has released a new live recording of her latest single ‘Still I Wait’, filmed at Lake Como in Italy.
Inspired by the real-life struggles of longing for connection, the sincere performance showcases Leone's willingness to show her vulnerable side.
Being an introvert by nature, the singer-songwriter first started playing guitar in school to escape the mundane routine.
"I love losing myself in other universes, they give me a sense of belonging," she explains. After a few years of covering songs by such eminent musicians as Bon Iver, Lana Del Rey and Laura Marling, Leone felt the need to sing in her own voice. In 2018, she took a step forward and recorded debut EP Wandered Away that explored her own world view and tangled emotions.
Two years into her creative carrier, Leone won the 2020 Music Moves Talent Award which led her to international recognition. Her singles ‘Once’ and ‘Wondering’ were also featured on BBC Radio 1 and BBC6 Music later the year after amassing over 18 million streams on Spotify and YouTube.
Leone’s soulful music deeply resonates with listeners and her audience grows by the day. Despite the ever-present stage fright, she is driven to create. This is something a true artist cannot control.

As she put it, her songs are mainly ‘about relationships, and primarily about the relationship you have with yourself.’ By stepping out of her comfort zone and showing her music to the world, she wants to make people feel something and look deeper into themselves.
‘Still I Wait’ was produced by Paul Butler and the live performance was directed by Marie Vinay. This talented collaboration brought out a melancholic yet soothing piece that perfectly accompanies the original music video.
