The Galway band will perform as part of the festival when it kicks off next March.
The SXSW (South by Southwest) Music Festival has announced the lineup for their 2024 Showcasing Artists, and Galway-founded indie band NewDad have made the cut, along with 150 other music acts from around the world.
The tapped bands will be performing at the 2024 SXSW Music Festival which takes place from March 11-16. Featuring acts that span from emerging talents to seasoned veterans, over one thousand more acts have yet to be revealed.
The music festival has hosted some of the brightest new acts and included lots of Irish acts in the past. Artists tapped for the 2023 SXSW music festival include M(h)aol, milk., modernlove., Ailbhe Reddy, and Silverbacks.
Two EPs and multiple singles in since their debut in 2020, the now-London-based band are gearing up to release their first LP Madra next year. Having opened for the likes of Inhaler and Wet Leg at Fairview Park and played arenas with Paolo Nutini, their ever-growing following can see them at their headlining shows in Galway and Dublin next February.
