Taking Us To Chvrch On the Main Stage
The group dazzled the crowd with their feel-good pop tunes
Scottish electro-pop band, Chvrches, took to the Main Stage of Electric Picnic on Friday evening.
The trio arrived on stage bang on time, taking the crowd by surprise by their punctuality.
Performing some of their best known hits such as 'The Mother We Share', 'Gun', and 'Under the Tide' they set the night off with a bang.
They also performed one of their newer songs 'Get Out'.
Lead singer, Lauren Mayberry, thrashed and danced on stage, creating an electrifying atmosphere amongst the crowd. In a humorous moment with the audience, Mayberry joked with a crowd member about his Jonah Hill beach towel. "Why the fuck is there a Jonah Hill poster? Is he Irish or have Irish ancestry?" she giggled. Nope, it's just that random.
That wasn't the only random thing. Crowds tossed around a inflatable donut throughout much of the performance. There was also a Michael D Higgins puppet. An eclectic mix for an eclectic group.
Kendrick Lamar is set to finish the evening tonight, kicking off at 10.40pm.
