Dublin singer-songwriter Ciarán Moran is set to bring his deeply personal balladry to the Hot Press Y&E series tonight, Thursday 16 November.
His latest single ‘It’s OK’ offers a sense of sorrow and hope in equal measure, taking a less-is-more production approach, which creates a fitting setting for Moran to open up and question himself - underlined by an assurance that everything will work out.
An established songwriter, Moran has gained praise from Irish musical pioneers including Glen Hansard, Christy Moore, Damien Dempsey and Christy Dignam for his ability and willingness to write about topics that others may shy away from.
His acclaimed debut EP Life Inner City was released in 2022, solidifying Moran as an artist who’s never too far from home and his people.

Following the project was a successful string of sold-out headline gigs in Whelan’s and The Academy in his native Dublin, as well as the Greennote in London. He’s also opened for the some major artists, such as Macy Gray, David Keenan and Jamie Webster.
‘It’s OK’ was recorded and produced by highly regarded Producer Stuart Gray (Christy Dignam, The Script, Aslan, Dermot Kennedy & Gavin James) in Jealoustown Studios. The track is accompanied by a ideo directed by the award-winning Patrick Hughes, and stars Irish actor Joe Sharkey.
