Take a look at the video for 'Farewell/Kamikaze' below.
Cork indie-electronic musician Talos is gearing up for his next album release with new single 'Farewell/Kamikze'. This is his third single of the year, all leading up to the release of third album Dear Chaos on October 7.
'Farewell/Kamikaze' deals with separation and saying goodbye.
"In the best instances of separating, the action comes from a place of calm or formality: a farewell. On the flip side there are times when these goodbyes feel absolutely eradicating and explosive," Talos explains. He co-wrote the song with SOHN: his friend and English singer songwriter and producer.
Alongside the single came a music video by Niall O'Brien, filmed in West Cork. It is hauntingly cinematic, aligning perfectly with the song's sound. Its emotional depth through both lyrics and enchanting instrumentation will tug at any listener's heartstrings. The poetic lyrics serve as a eulogy to the power of a goodbye, as Talos sings "In close you waded out to stand against the morning/ I sat it out while fires beat at snow/ those temples that collect the dust keep calling/ feels like love."
Dear Chaos will be Talos' third full length album to date. His debut Wild Alee came out in 2017, and was incredibly well received. The Irish Times called it "a spectacularly assured debut deserving of a wide audience." It was nominated for the Choice Music Price in Ireland, and allowed Talos to tour around Ireland, the UK and Europe.

His 2019 sophomore album, Far Out Dust, carried on with the hype from his debut. He has since toured as support for Aurora and Dermot Kennedy.
Talos is soon heading out to headline shows in London, Cork and Dublin- all of which sold out in less than a week.
