The distorted track ushers in a new wave of psychedelic rock.
Ahead of Tame Impala's highly anticipated album The Slow Rush, producer Kevin Parker has released 'Lost In Yesterday,' the reflective fourth single before his album's February 14th release.
'Lost In Yesterday' is full of distortion—guitars, synths, even lyrics wash with elements of disco turned on its head. Parker is a multi-instrumentalist and production prodigy. The artist recorded, produced and mixed all twelve tracks on the forthcoming album himself.

Tame Impala's last studio album Currents launched a rocket ship of music for the world's lonely hearts, but The Slow Rush is shaping up to be more introspective. 'Lost In Yesterday' delights in its own nostalgia. It's psychedelic and full of wonder at the ways in which time can distort memory and recollection can change. "A lot of the songs carry this idea of time passing," Parker told The New York Times, "of seeing your life flash before your eyes, being able to see clearly your life from this point onwards. I’m being swept by this notion of time passing. There’s something really intoxicating about it."
Parker announced yesterday that Tame Impala would headline Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on June 14th. The Slow Rush is available everywhere on February 14th.
