Kevin Parker will release the 'InnerSpeaker' 4LP box set on March 26th, 2021.
Australian psychedelic musician Kevin Parker has announced that Tame Impala will release a new 4xLP box set of their debut album Innerspeaker to celebrate the work's 10th anniversary.
The new reissue includes new “2020 Mixes” of the songs 'Alter Ego' and 'Runway, Houses, City, Clouds' as well as instrumentals, demos, and a previously unreleased side-long recording called 'Wave House Live Jam.'
With debut album Innerspeaker, Parker established himself as a stoner folk hero, supplying the laid-back indie soundtrack for post-barbecue smoking sessions around the world.
Each subsequent release has seen him move further away from that initial sound – swapping out guitars for synths, and more eagerly embracing the pull of a great pop melody.
The band released Slow Rush, their fourth studio album, in February of this year.
"And while The Slow Rush is as close to glittering pop for the masses as Tame Impala have ever ventured, it simultaneously finds Parker at his most introspective and sonically bold," according to Hot Press' Lucy O'Toole.

"Despite increasingly gearing their sound towards a mass audience, Tame Impala’s fearless foray into unapologetic pop results in some of their most substantial work yet."
Tame Impala covered Nelly Furtado’s hit track 'Say It Right' for Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show last week, and are scheduled to tour North America and Europe at the start of next summer.
