“It feels like I’m at 99% because there is a very big 1% that fans don’t know about me,” Tanner Adell says of her vulnerable new single. “But I’m ready to have that connection with them, and I think they’re ready for it.”
Country-pop musician Tanner Adell has released her first single of 2025, 'Going Blonde'.
The track focuses on Adell's complicated relationship with her adoption and her late birth mother, who she never met.
Noting that her birth mother looked like famed country singer Dolly Parton, Adell began seeking out inspiration and connection from Parton's music.
"Being blonde has been something that's been a major part of my identity," she said. "But seeing that picture of my mom, and with the connection through Dolly Parton, it made me feel like I had a piece of my mom for the first time."

The launch of 'Going Blonde' shortly follows Adell's performance at last night's 36th GLAAD Awards and a concert at Country 2 Country Festival's mainstage earlier this month.
The singer is also set to present at tomorrow night's Billboard Women In Music Awards.
Since her debut in 2023 with Buckle Bunny, Adell has garnered a large audience, with over 200 million global streams. She embarked on her first headline tour in 2024, alongside appearances at the 2024 BET Awards, NFL's Christmas Day Halftime Show and more.
Adell also collaborated with Beyoncé on 'BLACKBIIRD', which featured on the Oscar-winning album Cowboy Carter.
