Tara Lee talks to Olaf Tyaransen in the latest issue of Hot Press about her plans for 2016 in film and music
At only 21 its hard to believe how young Tara Lee actually is, having appeared in RTE's Raw back in 2012, she's appearing in the new season of The Fall and is also co-starring in Moon Dogs a new film set in Scotland that’s due for release this year.
In her interview in the latest edition of Hot Press, Tara talks to Olaf Tyaransen about how her music has matured. With a new EP due out this year she states that she has taken influence from Massive Attack and Marilyn Manson.
Talking about her new mature sound she says, "My acoustic stuff was like reading a teenagers diary. But now its kind of dark, threatening, so its really weird." she continues by saying "At the start I was calling it 'dark pop', but now I think its gone into a weird trip-hoppy vibe!"
As well as taking influence from the aformentioned acts, Tara says that’s she's been listening to lots of Blondie over the last year and explains that she is inspiring to her "just purely attitude and girl power wise."
