'Lover' channels Taylor Swift's country roots as well as her romantic side.
Taylor Swift may have written the next 'Perfect'. 'Lover', the title track from her upcoming album, sounds like taken right out of Ed Sheeran's textbook for romantic wedding songs.
The slow rhythm and calm guitar-plucking is perfect for a dance with your significant other, with cute lyrics to match the romantic atmosphere. "I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you. I've loved you 3 summers now, honey, but I want 'em all", she sings in the second verse.
Yesterday, the singer announced on Twitter that the music video for 'Lover' will premier on August 22 after a YouTube Livestream where she will talk about her new album, her fashion line with Stella McCartney and more. She also revealed that she will perform a song that she has never performed before.
