Eminem’s highly anticipated virtual reality documentary, Marshall From Detroit, is set to be released at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, which kicks off on Thursday.
The documentary promises to show the rapper’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan through his own eyes – using VR to give viewers an immersive look at the Rust Belt city. Eminem, one of the best-selling artists of his generation, continues to live in Detroit.
The film is being helmed by Michigan director Caleb Slain, along with Felix & Paul Studios, who specialise in cinematic VR projects.
The new teaser trailer for the documentary offers a 360-degree perspective of a nighttime drive around Detroit with Eminem, who is discussing his life in the city with American radio host Sway Calloway.
