Tebi Rex announce their long-awaited return to the stage at Lost Lane.
When we named Tebi Rex one of our Hot For 2019 Irish Acts, we knew their “hooks catchier than the wintertime sniffles” would cause contagion across the island. Little did we know all that they had in store. Having released three diverse singles over the course of the year, ('No 1 Symbol Of Peace', 'Financial Controller', and 'I Never Got Off The Bus') the duo has now announced a headlining show at Dublin’s Lost Lane on Saturday, 9 November.
“Tebi Rex, which are Max Zanga and Matt O’Baoill, have definitely made a mark on the Irish music scene and across the Irish hip hop landscape,” wrote Hot Press’s Alix Renaud.
Their debut album, The Young Will Eat the Old, is set to be released on September 20. "A story in three acts and featuring guests including spoken word artist Natalya O'Flaherty and Local Boy, the album moves across a range of genres and tells how we’re destined to be better than what came before us but also doomed to fall prey to their same mistakes. The cycle repeats. Gods will rise and fall, as will the Irish rap scene that Tebi Rex have become so integral to,” reads a statement from the band.

Topping off a year that has seen them named one of RTE 2FM's Rising names for 2019, make their UK debut at The Great Escape, team up with AWAL and invited to be one of the fifty showcasing artists at the inaugural Ireland Music Week, this album launch show is set to mark Tebi Rex as one of the country's most exciting musical prospects.
Tickets from €16.45 will go on sale Friday, 23 August at 10 here. This is an 18+ event.
