To celebrate the start of the weekend, we're bringing you a special performance from one of our favourite pop duos, Thanks Brother, on tonight's Hot Press Lockdown Sessions – brought to you by the rebel-hearted legends from Grace O'Malley Whiskey.

At 19:30 GMT tonight, March 27, Thanks Brother are performing live from Dublin on the Hot Press Instagram.

Tipped as one of Hot Press's 'Hot For 2019' Irish acts, Thanks Brother combines the unique talents of Róisín O and John Broe (formerly of Miracle Bell). After penning tracks for the likes of Gavin James and The Coronas, the duo found success with their own gritty pop sound – first heard on their stunning debut single, 'We Are Different', in 2018.

Thanks Brother's first Irish tour in March 2019 boasted five sold-out shows, and ended with support slots for The Coronas and Gavin James, in addition to gigs abroad in France, the UK and the USA. They also found time to co-write The Coronas’ single ‘Find the Water’, and direct and produce the accompanying video – as well as produce and direct videos for Declan O’Rourke and Glen Hansard. Late last year, Thanks Brother released their highly anticipated EP 1, produced and mixed by Grammy Award winner Ruadhri Cushnan – featuring all their acclaimed singles, as well as previously unheard bonus material.
