The 1975's upcoming Madison Square Garden show will take place on Monday, November 7th.
The 1975 are partnering with Amazon Music to broadcast their upcoming performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden across the globe, the band announced today.
The show will be streamed live on Amazon Music UK’s Twitch channel on Monday, November 7th, at 8:30pm EST / 1:30am GMT. The show will be rebroadcast at 6pm GMT the following day, for the convenience of non-US audiences, and be available on-demand at a later date.
The New York concert is part of The 1975’s ‘At Their Very Best’ world tour, which is in support of their recent fifth number-one album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language.
With singles like 'Happiness', 'Part Of The Band' and 'All I Need To Hear', the project is quick to become a fan favourite.
"While the musical leaps on Notes… occasionally felt like scrolling wildly through the internet, Being Funny… finds The 1975 fine-tuning their eclectic approach, attempting to grasp onto a full-bodied, live sound," Lucy O'Toole wrote in her Hot Press verdict. "That’s not to say they’ve settled down, of course – their penchant for the ‘80s, complete with synths and saxs, has continued to grow, and as the album progresses, they swing from the pounding pop of ‘I’m In Love With You’ to the gorgeously country-tinged ‘All I Need To Hear’. Elsewhere, you’ll find nods to LCD Soundsystem, and an indie-folk closing track, ‘When We Are Together’, that could have been penned and sung by Phoebe Bridgers."
The 1975 are set to bring their upcoming At Their Very Best world tour to Ireland, with shows at Dublin's 3Arena on Sunday, 29th January 2023, and at The SSE Arena in Belfast the following day, on Monday, 30th January 2023. The band are kicking off their tour with dates across the US in November and December, followed by a run of shows in the UK and Ireland in January 2023, and in Japan, Australia and New Zealand in April.

The group, who formed in Manchester in 2002, made their long-awaited live comeback in August 2022, headlining Japan’s biggest rock festival Summer Sonic 2022 in Tokyo and Osaka, ahead of two triumphant homecoming headline slots at Reading and Leeds Festival.
Their previous LP, 2020's Notes On A Conditional Form, became their fourth consecutive number one album in the UK, also taking the top spot in Australia. The 1975 were named Best Group at the BRIT Awards in both 2017 and 2019, and NME's Band of the Decade in 2020.
Frontman Matty Healy discussed their new album with Stuart Clark for the Hot Press October issue, saying that it was "like going to the theatre. It’s way more intimate and an experience as opposed to a construct.”
