The music video, directed by Samuel Bradley, is a black and white masterpiece filmed on a Kent nudist beach. It depicts The 1975 band members performing their song with a full string orchestra, as well as groups of people doing strange activities like carrying a large blowup ball, running in circles, drawing on a car, and then drawing on Healy. The serenity and quirkiness apparent in the video fit perfectly with the song, which balances racy lyrics that reference heroin and sex with soft vocals and instrumentation.
The rest of Being Funny in a Foreign Language is set to release on October 14th, and after ‘Part of the Band’, everyone will be counting down the days until then.
