The Tipperary duo are followed by Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Noah Kahan and Olivia Rodrigo on the latest chart.
The 2 Johnnies have thanked fans for their support, after topping the Official Irish Albums Chart on Friday with their debut album, Small Town Heroes.
Released earlier this month on the independent Irish label Reckless Records, the album soared straight to No.1 on the chart – out-performing Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard And Soft (No.2), Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department (No.3), Noah Kahan's Stick Season (No.4), and Olivia Rodrigo's Guts (No.5).
Small Town Heroes also debuted at No.1 on the Irish Independent Albums Chart – followed by Niamh Regan's new album, Come As You Are, at No.2.
"'Tisn't often a culchie act get to the top of the charts," The 2 Johnnies posted online, in response to the news. "Start the mixer, the boom is back..."
The Tipperary duo, made up of ‘Johnny B’ O’Brien and ‘Johnny Smacks’ McMahon, got to celebrate their chart success with their major outdoor event Pints In A Field 2 at St Anne's Park on Saturday, June 8 – where they were joined by special guests like Craig David, and a 20,000-strong crowd.

Initially rising to prominence through their online sketches, the pair’s 2 Johnnies Podcast has become one of the most popular in the country – leading to live shows around the world. From there, they turned their attention to TV, with series like The 2 Johnnies Late Night Lock In and The 2 Johnnies Do America.
Over the past two years, they’ve also added radio to their CVs, with a drivetime show on RTÉ 2FM – which came to an end in May, in the midst of a rush of other high-profile presenter departures.
The 2 Johnnies' upcoming shows include Galway Summer Sessions (August 17), and TUS Gaelic Grounds, Limerick (September 1).
