The Academic's upcoming EP is scheduled to drop on July 9.
Indie band The Academic have announced a brand new EP 'Acting My Age' and an exclusive livestream performance to celebrate their new music.
"Excited to announce on the eve of releasing 'Acting My Age', on July 9th we’ll be doing an exclusive full band live performance of the EP to celebrate!" the band wrote on their social media pages.
The Westmeath musicians will perform for their Irish fans at 7:30pm, and their UK counterparts at 9pm.
"We’ll be playing the full EP for the first time! Along with a few tunes you may already know..."
The foursome released their latest single 'Anything Could Happen' at the end of May, featuring a lockdown music video of various couples interacting during the strange quarantine period.
“It’s been a strange one with this video," they reflected at the time.

"We were due to shoot it a few weeks back but with all the movement restrictions in place, everything changed. We had to can our initial idea for the video and come up with something a bit more DIY.
"For us now, the song has taken on an entirely new meaning so we wanted to create something that brings people a sense of hope in these difficult times," the band added.
"We crowd sourced video footage from people all over the world in lockdown who are doing whatever it takes to keep positive. We thought the idea would be fitting in the current climate."
The quartet have been working hard on new music over the last year, and now they're ready to perform the tracks live for their excited fans.
‘Acting My Age’ will be released on June 26th, pre-order the EP via the band's website here.
