The new club night, ‘It’s A Movement’, will be showcasing some of the best in Irish hip-hop such as Blackfish Collective, Backshed Inc, Flowstate Movement, Craic Appeal and Mo Fame, who will be performing on the night.
Blackfish Collective formed in Dublin with the purpose of encouraging freedom and encouraging their fans to celebrate their individuality. Their goal is create a space for those that don’t “fit in”, along with those that do, and allow people to come together.

Backshed Inc, who also began in Dublin, are a collective of 4 hip-hop artists. Through their individual music, they have gained recognition for themselves and as a group, bringing a new wave to Irish hip-hop.

Similarly, Flowstate Movement are also a collective of Irish talent, this time bringing rappers, producers and designers together. Already, the group have made a name for themselves because of their dedication to their art and talent.
Craic Appeal, another hip-hop collective, were first formed in 2013. Coming from different countries with very different cultural backgrounds, Ireland, South Africa, England and Swaziland, their sound is unique and distinct, with their very diverse cultural influences setting them apart from any other group. Their album We Are What You Think is out now.
It’s A Movement will kick off on Thursday June 29 and will take place on the last Thursday of every month. Tickets are priced at €10 and are available from Ticketmaster now. Under 16s are permitted but must be accompanied by an adult.
