The band behind the acclaimed Hospice, will play The Academy in Dublin and Dolan's Warehouse in Limerick.
New York indie rockers The Antlers have revealed that they'll be coming to Ireland next year on their upcoming tour.
After releasing their first album in seven years, Green to Gold, the band behind the acclaimed record Hospice, will play The Academy in Dublin and Dolan's Warehouse in Limerick on April 8 and 9.
It will be the first time The Antlers have played in Ireland since their Hospice 10th Anniversary tour in 2019.
The news also comes with a brand new EP, Losing Light released today.
It is a reworking of four songs from Green to Gold, featuring the following tracklist:
- Losing Light
- Volunteered
- G2G
- Twas

Crafting these new tracks, frontman Peter Silberman wondered, "How would these songs sound if they were being reconstituted from memory fifty years from now, after decades of technological evolution, alongside analogue and digital degradation? I began to consider how we reconstruct the past once we’re many years removed from it, with only scattered, decaying artefacts to reference.
Following this premise of Green to Gold as if remembered from the distant future, we began to reassemble pieces of several songs in different iterations - the earliest versions and demos, pieces of the album versions, and newly-created recordings. To bring them all into the same world, we processed each of these elements in ways that would repeatedly age them backwards and forwards, as if being blasted into the past, then flung into the future."
Tickets for The Antlers at The Academy and Dolans in April go on sale tomorrow, November 17, at 10 am here.
